What is this about?
The Shaut family and friends present Swinging Moments Cabaret, the ninth annual fundraiser for the Alzheimer's Association. The event honors the memory of our family’s beloved grandmother Marie Wojcio, who lived with Alzheimer's Disease for over a decade.
A Great Cause, a Great Time
We are excited to bring our cabaret style event to a beautiful new venue - BSP Kingston.Come enjoy the 12 piece band, and our guest singer and dancers from NYC. Grab a drink (cash bar) and take in our new Cabaret Piano Bar with Andrea and some of the area's most talented singers. Have a great time while supporting a great cause.
Nathan "Soft Shoe" Bugh presents a unique, rhythmic style of jazz movement on stage, on screen, and in classrooms worldwide. He has performed Lindy Hop at Carnegie Hall, with Josie Say and the New York Pops Orchestra. And he has performed in Harlem’s famous Apollo Theater, as part of the Frankie Manning centennial. He danced in David Tutera's "Great Gatsby" wedding on the hit reality series "My Fair Wedding;" on FoxNC's "Fox and Friends Christmas" with George Gee; and he exhibited Lindy Hop at the legendary dance mecca, Jacob's Pillow, with Ramona Staffeld and the Vanaver Caravan. He has appeared in several music videos, including the Weepies, “Be My Honey Pie.” As a national competitor, Nathan has taken 1st place in Lindy, Slow Dancing, Solo Charleston, Team, Jill&Jack, and Cabaret divisions. He is one of the most eminent solo-jazz contestants in the world, having recently won both the Ultimate Lindy Hop Showdown (2012) and International Lindy Hop Championships (2014). He is based in New York, where he is the artistic director of Syncopated City Dance Company.
We are incredibly excited to have professional vocalist Rhonda Denet guest singing with the band. Rhonda performs throughout the metro NYC area as the lead singer in the Kazz Orchestra and as part of many other musical projects. Rhonda's vocal stylings will remind you of the days of Ella and Billie!
