The Shaut Family & Swingin' Jive Patrol present Swinging Moments Cabaret A Benefit for Alzheimer's Association

What is this about?

The Shaut family and Swingin' Jive Patrol present Swinging Moments Cabaret, the eighth annual fundraiser for the Alzheimer's Association. The event honors the memory of our family’s beloved grandmother Marie Wojcio, who lived with Alzheimer's Disease for over a decade.

A Great Cause, a Great Time

We are excited to bring back last year's format; a cabaret-style event that promises to be much more than the big band jazz sound of yesteryear.

International Lindy Hop performers and "So You Think You Can Dance" Finalists Evita Arce and Michael Jagger will be up from NYC to make special appearances with SJP for this high-energy fun-filled evening. They bring an exuberant energy and joy to every project, whether it's teaching Swing classes worldwide or performing in renowned theaters. Evita and Michael were the featured Lindy Hop couple in the 2008 Japan Broadway tour of SWING! They have performed at the Rose Theatre and The Kennedy Center with Wynton Marsalis and The Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra. Commercials and other television appearances have popped up frequently after they advanced to finals in Las Vegas on Season 3 of Fox's "So You Think You Can Dance."

We are incredibly excited to have professional vocalist Rhonda Denet guest singing with the band. Rhonda performs throughout the metro NYC area as the lead singer in the Kazz Orchestra and as part of many other musical projects. Rhonda's vocal stylings will remind you of the days of Ella and Billie!

The evening's student guest will be the superb young vocalist,Libby Sokolowski, who sings with a maturity beyond her years and will be performing with SJP. The Kingston High School Jazz Ensemble will again be the lively and engaging opening act. The Swinging Jive Patrol, 10 piece professional jazz band, will be the featured performers and also accompany the vocalists and dancers.
